HOW I WORK

Here’s how I usually approach the creation of a full game soundtrack — from first notes to final implementation.
Understanding the Story

Every score begins long before the first note.
It starts with the story with the emotions it wants to awaken, the characters who carry it, and the world they inhabit.

The process begins by understanding the project’s universe: its script, colors, ambient, and, above all, the intention behind each scene.
The connection with the studio or developer is essential, it’s where sound finds meaning.

From that foundation, I create an initial sound palette, much like a painter preparing colors before the canvas.
It contains the textures, instruments, and atmospheres that will shape the entire composition.
Each character has a voice of their own defined by their history, culture, and presence within the narrative.

This palette is presented in raw form, as an emotional sketch to align vision and direction, ensuring that every frequency speaks the same language as the story being told.

Creating the Right Sound

This is where ideas take shape.
The improvisations, textures, and instincts from the first phase begin to evolve into structure — rhythm, harmony, and intention.

Each project demands its own process.

Some call for linear and narrative scoring; others, dynamic and modular systems that respond to movement and timing.
The choice always comes from what the story needs, never from a formula.

The goal is to find the right sound: the one that communicates exactly what each moment requires.
It might be a single note, a silence, a texture, or an entire orchestra, what matters is that the emotion reaches the listener before they even know why.

Refine and Align

This is where emotion meets precision.
The score already has form, identity, and intention. Now it’s time to make sure everything sounds exactly as it should, in the right place and at the right moment.

The process becomes collaborative.
Through client feedback, every detail is revisited and refined: dynamics, instrumentation, transitions, and layers.
The goal is to align artistic vision, narrative flow, and technical needs, keeping the balance between what the story asks for and what the music can reveal.

Once the soundtrack is complete, the implementation phase begins: integrating the music with video, gameplay, and the project’s overall sound environment.
When needed, the audio is prepared for middleware such as FMOD or Wwise, ensuring that the emotion remains alive no matter where or how the sound exists.

Delivery and Purpose

The final step is where everything comes together.
Once the music is mixed, mastered, and implemented, I stay close to the project to make sure every sound breathes in its final environment.

Whether it’s a game, a film, or a series, the score must exist as part of the story, not beside it.

A soundtrack only truly lives when the audience experiences it.
When emotion, image, and movement align, the music finds its meaning, because every frequency tells a story.
